How to Ask For Help

October 6, 2018October 10, 2018 ~ Jennifer Coleman ~ Leave a comment

{Fibro fog = typos. If you find one, I'll buy you a Hansen's snoball. "There are no shortcuts to quality."} Sometimes help and kindness appear unexpectedly. But before anyone can know how much you need it—hard as it can be—you have to let others in on your struggles and do the hard part: Ask. From … Continue reading How to Ask For Help

Fun Food Friday but Valentine’s Day edition: Made @weelicious Chocolate Mousse with Junebug for our fam. It’s easy, rich and delish. Before fibro there would’ve been a decorative topping. With fibro I’m just happy to have the energy to plan it, shop it, make it! #valentinesday #fibro #funfoodfriday #friyay #momblogger #dessert #organic #fortyoverblog #fibrowarrior #fibromyalgia #feminist #advocate #spoonie #supportfibro #fatigue #fibrofatigue #insomnia #cooking #butyoudontlooksick #invisibleillness #livingwithlimits #gentlehugs #grateful
{No flare today. Only one kid home sick and she’ll be at school tmrw, whew. We made choc mousse “surprise” for tmrw together. The sun is shining and soon I’ll have some ME time for shower, TV that’s not cartoons, and a walk!} Day 4 of home with sick kids who have bundles of energy but also, fevers. We’re all stir crazy but... Husband said twice to me this morning that it was so nice to see me feeling ok this past week or so, and I could see so much emotion, love and pain in his eyes. So naturally, after the second time, my full back flared and as the day passed my flare went full body. This FB Post is SO unfortunately me... No amount of drugs except sleep will help. It hurts so bad I wanna scratch my skin off. Weather changes contribute too. Sitter help all day tmrw, thanks to @merrypopinsnola. I need quiet. Dark. Not to be touched as even the lightest hurts. I need my CBT appt next week. Thank goodness I’m also lost in a good novel to help me out of this disgustingly pained body. Tmrw is a new day and I welcome each one I’m given. Today is ticking away, just not fast enough. I hate fibromyalgia. I won’t let it ruin me, though on days like today I can barely see the light, feel the kid kisses, or find my gratefulness. Sleep now. There’s @weelicious chocolate mousse to be made tmrw for Vday, a new post to work on, an anniversary card to write to Husband, and a walk in blooming Nola to take.
Rehab? From Yes Yes Yes, to No No No. As high achieving as Husband is, one of the things he particularly respects about me is that I quit. I’m a quitter, and I’m proud of it! Fortyover.blog

Extreme #fibromyalgia #insomnia (no pain now but possibly tmrw from #fatigue) and a sick Rosebud :(. There’s not been a month this school year without one or both daughters home sick from school. In more pleasing news, on L are my #homegrown chopped garlic chives, on R my rosemarys. I mixed with minced garlic, dried thyme, olive oil, pink Himalayan sea salt, and of course ground pepper to crust #grassfed pork loin for dinner with sautéed #organic spinach. Mmmmmmm! #homemade #glutenfree #funfoodfriday #fortyoverblog #fibrowarrior #fibro #fibromama #momblogger #chronicblogger #feminist #advocate #spoonie #supportfibro #18fibrotenderpoints #fibrofog #chronicpain #chronicwarrior #autoimmune #lovecooking #cooking
Fun Food Friday: I’m 20+ days Gluten Free...but...a once a year binge on Cadbury creme eggs and minis is sacred. I didn’t check if they’re GF nor do I wanna know! #funfoodFriday #friyay
